    Could somebody help me out in heree pleasee?

    I wanna make the Simon Patterson bassline used in tracks like "Taxi" and "Smack" and I tried a lot and couldnt get the exact same bassline.
    Im producing a new trance track right now and I'm really depending on this.

    so please, could someone tell me how to make that sound? or maybe send me a preset or patch for a particular vst(i) so i can continue with my productions?
    that would save my life.

    Thanks in advance.
    I would really appreciate anything anyone could do to help me!

    Hi.. Rachel?

    Sounds to me like a regular 1/16 arpeggiated synth bass ran thru a trance gate. possibly sidechained to the kick drum.

    Easily enough accomplished in something like Vanguard or Nexus I suppose.

    What DAW are you using?

    Hey this is for example one :)
    Here is what I’d have done using Massive:
    OSC1
    To get a pretty deep sound, the kind of pressure that drives the wobble effect we need a -12 pitched Sinewave that is amplified around 50% and also ducked through an LFO. The LFO will duck the volume just enough to make a bit of a sidechain solution
    Oscillator 1
    Basic Sin-Tri -> Spectrum
    Pitch -12
    Amplify 50% Route the level to an LFO at 50% level

    OSC2
    We need to define a deep subbase for the sound. This is done with a RoughMathII waveform, that really sounds filthy for this purpose :).
    Oscillator 2
    Basic RoughMath II -> Spectrum
    Pitch -24
    Amplify 100%

    OSC3
    All right what this Sinuswave is doing, is to compenhance and drops from oscillator 1 and to make sure we get a continuously sound.
    Oscillator 3
    Basic Sin-Square -> Spectrum
    Pitch -12

    Noise
    Type White (Color)
    Pretty low Amplified, just to add some analogue feeling and depth to the sound.

    Modulation oscillator
    Pitch 0.04
    Phase 1-2%
    Phase Oscillator 1

    LFO
    Set the envelope to sine
    Ratio should be set to Sync 1/8
    To get some nice feeling into this sound there are some ways to "wash-out" the sound a bit, to get rid of some "digital" -feeling.

    Now take this and make it yours by enhancing it to your level. This is just my idea and well I am sure it can be achieved other ways.

    Monkeystylle:
    That sounds nice.
    Now you just need to add some LPfilter on the sound. Sidechain the drum. and After some tweaking you'll get a nice psy/trance Baseline :)
    Good luck! :grooves:

    First of all, thanks everyone for your replies.

    Second of all, I tried exactly what everybody said but the results weren't quite close yet. Maybe it's something i did wrong with my tweakings
    so, this will sound a bit desperate but, could you guys send me the presets for these basses with the vst name? I wouldnt ask if i didnt reaally need them, please

    Thanks again guys, you the best!

    Rachel
