Well these are probably one of the, if not the 20 most famous devs so it's not unlikely that some people will find one or another of these overrated.
If I had to take a guess, then reFX might get called the most overrated because of people disliking Nexus 2 a lot (just as I do), but in the end isn't it just a matter of taste?

As great as Sylenth1 is, it's hard for me to call LennarDigital a top developer when they haven't made anything interesting in the last decade. I'd really love to see a new synth from them but they're looking like a hit wonder. I like to purchase plugins hoping that supporting them will encourage them to continue improving their products and innovating new ones. The new Sylenth version from what I've seen is IMHO looking like a joke. ~8 years for new skins? Right..

I think the updates to Omnisphere 2 are much more impressive. Dune 2 is also a very tasty upgrade to a great synth. Speaking of which, no Spectrasonics or Synapse Audio on the list? :snuffy:

I used to like refx Vanguard and the price is good, but I don't really want to support the developers of the abomination that is Nexus :dancing:

    What about UAD?

if we're saying lennard shouldn't be up there because he's only made sylenth, why is dadalife there when all they did was sausage fattener (which is basically just a saturation plug-in)

personally would agree NI should be first.

    Top 20 in what regards?
    User base and overall hype?

In terms of quality, Slate Digital/Eiosis and Spectrasonics should be there.

Never tried anything from TAL or Illformed. This may not be a shared sentiment, but I would argue that Image Line makes some of the best synths out there. Harmor can do everything, and Sytrus makes FM synthesis really intuitive.

Klanghelm, G-Force/OhmForce, Sonic Charge and SoundToys should definitely be on this list. Some of them are integral to my workflow and I couldn't imagine my life without them while Illformed, reFX and one or two others make software that I could easily live without.

DEV's in my humble opinion more like small time developers more than multi national corporations etc. no top 20 but some worth a mention

Klanghelm, SKnote, Acustica Audio, Sonic Charge, Sinevibes, Cableguys, Kush Audio, Fabfilter, FXPansion (more like Company), D-16, Voxengo, Sugar Bytes,Tal, Peter Dines, Icebreaker Audio, PluginGuru, Matt Bowdler, Cl Projects, Twisted Tools & many others.

Fuck Waves & ReFX as allready mentioned they "suck balls" DADA WTF!!!

Slate couldn't develop a bad case of herpes though he has a good team that makes IBlok Shite!
