A Russian EDM news site, www.edm-news.com claims to have hacked the DJ Mag website to expose the first 70 entrants in the 2014 poll. According to the unsubstantiated claim, Hardwell is once again the number 1 DJ in the world, followed by Dimitri Vegas & Like MIke, Armin Van Buuren, and Martin Garrix who jumps 36 spots to best Tiesto for the #4 spot.

There have been rumors that Hardwell was on pace for a repeat in 2014 so these rankings could very well be legitimate but upon further examination of the DJMag.com website, we could not find any errant code that may have contributed to this leak. There is a chance the leak has already been fixed.

Take these rankings for what they are — purely speculative at the time of writing.

The official results will be announced this Saturday.

    1. Hardwell (-)

Please wake me up. It can't be true. Not even 600000000.
I mean, he was the DJ with these italian scumbags (the guy with bleached hair):
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68ugkg9RePc

I passed a very bad moment few years ago when I saw a flyer for a party where he was playing in the 1st room
and in second room there was an hardtekno liveset by one of the bigfathers of french hardtekno.
That night I lost all my trust in humanity. I was almost crying :(

Yes Cat, not Sven Vath, not A-Trak, not Dj Chuckie..This list has become a popularity, not talented dj's. Very sad from my point of view.

    20. DVBBS (New entry)???

This list is really ridiculous. We shouldn't take it too serious - I mean, they count Paul van Dyk as DJ. That says about everything.

Just don't pay attention to DJ Mag. Stick with groove or de:bug, those are the kind of publications that have their roots in the Techno scene and you will never find edm shysters in their charts.
