Just curious...Since, from what I understand, Superior Drummer is compatible with all EZDrummer libraries and I'm perfectly content with the EZD libraries...can I install just the SD software without its huge library?
And if so, how far back do I have to go to find a working install of the SD because on sister site, they all seem to be updates, requiring a prior version to be installed so...

In answer to your question, Yes you can install SD3 without library, just make sure once install point the set up to see your EZ drummer installation. Also SD3 updates on sister site can be installed without previous SD3 installed. Hope this helps

You need to install Part 1 of the factory library to have all functionality of SD3. And just for reference, if you change your mind on the factory kit, minimum Parts 1 and 2 for all tools and stereo captures, Parts 3 and 4 are surround sound. Not needed, but absolutely usable for even more mic captures and articulations in stereo. Part 5 is the bleeds. 1-4 need to be installed in order. 5 can be installed anytime after 1. 1 and 2 are the minimum for stereo factory kit.

Edit: scratch that... brain fog, if you are only ever going to use EZdrummer libraries you don't need any part of the SD3 Factory library installed.
