My network card is broken and I cannot activate Toontrack EZBass.
    I got these:

    - This code will be rejected by Toontrack.

    - Make sure that network card is available.

    Please help.

Do you have anything that might have network capabilities? I didn't think I had a network card in my (offline) PC, but I still managed to reg it, took a while even so. Try looking in device mgr for something in bluetooth / sound / video et al? You can prolly buy / use a cheapo $2 card (dongle?) - that you might have lying around?

I wouldn't worry too much, you're not missing out. Modo Bass and even dinosaurs liek Trilian are loads better, tbh.

I'm currently using wifi. Tried bluetooth still not working. PC component stores are currently closed here. Any other option?

Have you tried disabling the card?

On my online rig, the auth was a bit "funny", in that it kept saying that, too, despite nothing being wrong. It didn't seem to matter whether it was disabled or not. I had to choose another network card and it worked ok finally. Might be worthwhile (PCIe?) taking out ur wifi card and plugging it in a different slot?

I can't say for certain, but it doesn't seem to work with ethernet?

The card is not being detected on device manager.

My wifi is USB unfortunately. It does not have NIC.

It would be good to know what the installer is looking for. A WiFi USB adapter is a NIC too.

Finally get it working. Found the problem: The card was not being seated properly.
Thank you guys for the replies.

Wtf is a "valid network card"? I've tried on my computer's normal ethernet connection and on a Netgear dongle but nothing worked.

Edit: It worked now when I got the computer-ID from the standalone app instead of the VST plugin.

They did with MODO drums and they partially failed.
Physical modelling is the future but very hard to implement.

Well, I'd say you're missing out if you don't try this. It's kind of worth it for the editor alone, the sounds are just an added bonus.

    It's so good! :beg:

Some years back I solved a similar problem by installing a virtual network interface card where I spoofed the MAC address of the broken NIC. It worked well with the virtual NICs "virtual box" (freeware virtualization software) installs. You can spoof the NICs MAC by searching and replacing all appearances of the MAC address in the registry.

Back then I needed to transfer a software bound to a NIC to another machine, when the software vendor went bankrupt. It won't work for every software, because some would readout the physical address from an installed NIC, but it's worth a try.

Well, for Windows there's a very neat trick shared by the wise @The Pirate (back when you people hadn't messed him up yet) that doesn't fail.
You install the already provided virtual feedback network driver.
It's very likely this driver only is there for testing and developing reasons but it fools the keygens like a charm.

I think all you need is a working network card driver

Not that much perhaps. They seem to sound good but they're only half modeled.
The size is quite a few GB and that's because it includes a lot of samples.

I agree. I'm using it the same way I use EZKeys, which is to delete the sound files and just MIDI-out it to instruments I like better. I wanted the editor and all the grooves. Not disappointed.

Stick with AD. You're only saving a few GB with MODO, and it sounds appreciably worse.
