Is there a similar tool for changing the pitch without changing the speed?

 

Sure, Melodyne (within reason). Or Elastique... Waves had something too.

 

Riffstation is another one the program was sold to Fender who gave it away free for over a year. but it is available on sister site, this has many features beyond just pitch and slow down, it also shows the chords to the music file it's playing, give it a try you'll like it.

 

At least two previous threads where this is discussed at length. I can't remember all the details.

That's the one. Haven't ever tried a direct comparison between it and Elastique (which is included in Sound Forge and sounds very good)...

 

Ableton, Wavelab, Logic Pro etc. have built-in Tools for Pitchshifting and Timeshifting or you can use Izotope RX.

An awesome VST is QuikQuak Pitchwheel.

Waves Soundshifter

DAWs usually have this feature built-in.

 

There's a ton of them and you can use VST instead of software/DAW since pitch-shifting it's more suitable to a plugin than time-stretching.

 

Studio One has built in one, and most modern daws too

 

all the main DAWs will do this but if you just want a quick loading app to do it for practising songs etc then TRANSCRIBE is easily the BEST and on the sister site too

 

Logic's Time & Pitch Machine, for the last 20 years. The Most reliable imo.
Has preview function now too.
When you go back into it after, it remembers what you did, so you may sometimes need to change it!
