I really like it and I do know you were going the heavy mid tempo route but I found the rhythm hard to follow. I like the vibe, sound design and the mixing. It's just the rhythm section I didn't get.

it's fine that it is polyrhythms and other "irregular beat patterns". It sounds cool, other than your 3 minute song still has 1 drop that no impact still.

You can do this " See what sick stuff I'm not giving you"? Thing" way more, when it's worth all the waiting around for. Why did I play this audio file? For 30 seconds worth of beats?

You should have this much musical ideas per every 30 seconds or less for something like this style.

This is what Soundcloud started playing randomly after your song: https://soundcloud.com/rough-records316

I can't say I like it "bro", but the label has lots of songs of what you are trying to accomplish with this track. Or close. The production isn't any better.

I was actually going to ask, which I dont think I have before is what kind of music do you produce? or like enjoy for that matter. Just out of curiosity :) im still learning with this genre. If you have listened to rezz before her songs are typically around 3 min but her drops I guess slap hard as hell because well she is a "pro" haha

Too much dynamic range for the style IMO, especially at the drop, but other than that, great. The groove pumps. I love it when people break their swings.
You might've undersold the horror theme a bit tho.

That track is some sort of dubstep style track, but with some of it's own thing too. That's all well and good. I' can listen to anything from about 1920 on with no problem. I immensely respect classical music the most, but I do not enjoy listening to that either.
Because most people in todays day and age do not have the attention span for it. Neither do I. Your audience is 20 years younger and a large majority of them unmedicated or self-medicated. 3 minutes of ambience for a dubstep track could even work. But that drop after that long of a wait better be killer. And that drop is weird, or abstract. Thats fine too. I just don't feel it works together, and it is probably what you do not like about it either secretly. It doesn't just grab you by the balls and squeeze with an iron grip. It's more like getting that small brush that just doesn't really feel right. I'd rather get tackled. It's not done.

Yes, you understand exactly what I mean with your reference to that artist rezz. It's not about "pro" because your mix can always be better no matter who does it. yours is fine.
