You guys will understand what I can't say anywhere else.... I grabbed a shitload of tonex captures from sister site. Those aren't my issue per se.
I've only started to explore tonex now despite having it quit a while already (I'm lazy and with too much software to deal with) Also loading all that third party stuff was a project and I put off projects...because I'm lazy, lol

Anyway, I'm getting real irritated by some browser stuff. The other night I wanted to check out tonenet. I click on the ToneNet button on the top right.
What happened first was a shitload of user models then show up in the ToneNet window. They had a play button to hear what each sound like and a download option. Fair enough and straight forward.
Then I wind up clicking on the Tone Model > Tonenet Downloads, and to my surprise, there's all those user models, ready to use, and I didn't even downloaded any.

I just found out a couple things..... apparently, ToneX syncs to Tonenet, so it doesn't give a crap what you wanted to or didn't want to download whether you like it or not.

Other thing I found out.... I made folders of each of those third party models and then dragged and dropped rather than importing. What this has to do with part of my issue, is that they also appear in the Tonenet Downloads folder all mixed in with the tonenet user ones.

According to google, this happened because I dragged and dropped instead of importing so tonex treated the files as blah blah blah whatever.

I want to delete all those tonenet files mixed in with the third party and the list is huge. I can tell the difference between the tonenet stuff and the third party stuff is that tonenet stuff has a body silhouette icon. I can command click to select but it's taking forever that way...and there's nothing more exasperating than clicking on a shitload of them, only to mistake click and they all get unselected, or I accidentally click one I'm keeping and guess what.... command clicking on it again doesn't unselect it LIKE ITS SUPPOSED TO ffs.

I tried sorting just the tonenet ones by searching 'user' or 'tonenet' but that does squat. Can't think of anything other query word right now.
Been great if everything simply resides in their own physical folders on the computer so you can simply go in and delete, but no, it's all in a database file. Waaa waaahh

I supposed if I had imported 3rd party stuff into their respective folders, then the tonenet downloads folder would just be those from tonenet and easy to select all and delete. Drag dropping alone took long enough there was so much stuff

Is there anyway to prevent ToneX from automatically syncing and loading all that shit? Why do they even bother with download option if IK just plops it all onto your system without asking anyway? And why when connecting to Tonenet it just simply lets you audition ONE BY ONE at the tonenet site then download just the ones you want than vomiting hundreds onto your system? That would make sense to me

    Apologies for the length.
