So here we have sex with a bull, pain and imprisonment, death by impact on the ocean from a great height, infidelity, murderous rages by a shithead king, and all this sounds better than Tone2 synths IMHO.

Wow. A lot of hate for Tone2--but not for the right reasons. The synths don't sound bad. They do use an exciter algo. This is hit or miss depending on the user. Imho, a lot of their synths DO sound good.

Of course, they include questionable malware-type code in their plugins. THIS is why they need to be hated lol. Not for the sound of the synths. If they removed that junk from the plugins, I'd likely line up to buy one or two of their synths. Electra2 and Gladiator are actually really cool synths that offer different ways of working with sound. Cool stuff. Too bad we can't use them because of the malware...

EDIT: Forgot to say that I think this synth looks really cool.

Not going to install malicious software, let alone paying for it. Not that Tone2 is offering superb plugins anyway

 

Anyone asked them if they still implement such malware ?

 

Yes, ElectraX or Electra2 are the best of their Synths-line.
They offer some nice sounding PAD sounds, apt for Ambient music!
They really should loosen up their intrusive way of *controlling* users.

Yes. Their shady politics are the only thing keeping me from Electra2. In the meantime I will use Serum, Dune 2, etc.

What I've found is that a lot of stuff used in mixing is already applied in the synth. So, for one of their synths, you just kind of ignore any widening, psychoacoustic stuff (think Haas Effect) as well as any harmonic exciting stuff that you would normally do to other synths.

 

I'd rather drag my balls across broken glass then give that D-Bag my money.

I see all these retard post sounds to me like everyone needs reg cleaner pro lol but this new Icarus plugin give or take from 1 to 10 I say 10!!!!! I fuckin love it go try beta then talk I made 10 beats already just from a damn demo ha ha ha keep talking wile I'm crack in tracks #bestvst ever for trap beats bells exc...is crazy
