Because some of us are old enough to remember (the first) Gladiator episod on KVR
You want to have fun ?
Install Gladiator demo on XP, and put a fake key file in the directory. Instant administrative restart when you instance it
Or move your legit key in another folder. Same.

 

Fuck Tone2 and Markus Feil. I was a legit owner of Firebird. It fucked up my whole system. I would never buy a damn thing from him again. Piece of shit mother fucker!!!!!

For some reason these tone2 plug-ins do not sit well in the mix. I don't know what it is. Has a very digital feel.

Ok, so you guys have a bad feeling about Tone2 and its boss.
I do not share it.
I've bought the complete bundle and never looked back. These plugins are perfect for everyone into trance, industrial and futurepop. They sound digital and i'm soooooo happy they do. This was exactly what i was looking for. Some good synths to replace my aging Vanguard. I already use Dune2, Spire and Predator2 for that purpose but who's counting?
Don't get me wrong. I wouldn't trade Diva, Zebra, and all the other plugins i own for Tone2 stuff. But i don't need to choose. I can have both. The perfect analog sounding ones AND the Tone2 100% digital ones.
As far as i'm concerned, i will NEVER get rid of my tone2 plugins. With a bit of mixing skills, they sit easily in my mixes like any other synth i own. Some presets make too much abuse of effects? Well, i turn the FX channel off. Like i always do. And then I use my UAD plugins to complete the job.

So what is this all about? I guess i get it. The guy protects his work effciently. And our favorite warez group is not happy about it. Dah...
What's the problem? It's a free country. Cat and mouse game as always.
Isn't that just ludicrous or what? Almost as much as thieves (count me in) complaining about the brand new muscle car that cops used for the pursuit and just caught them.
Rather than to comment on how invasive tone2 protection are, why didn't R2R cracked them all as a lesson?
Could it be that they just can't and feel bad about it?

No lack of gratitude, here. I got so much from them, there's no way i could express how grateful i am. That being said. They have changed. We all know the storytelling behind that.They have "punished" a lot of respectful users because of the greediness of just a few by now only releasing some stuff and maintaining a secret vault for 90% of the software they keep into their own "internal" secret stash.
It makes me rethink a lot.
So, no need to start a flame war but i felt the need to express a different opinion here. I respect yours, please respect mine.
