I have never believed in context either.

 

Isn't this all music though? Doesn't even matter what the producer thinks, just go listen to what everyone else thinks is beautiful and popular on TikTok and Billboard.

Make your own music and be content because no matter how crappy it might actually be, somebody somewhere is going to like it.

 

No you have to be cruel to be kind & say its shit! unless ya young siblings have done it then the bullshit kicks in!

I remember watching a documentary years ago where they interviewed the record producer and musicians behind one of David Bowie's first big albums and every now and then they solo'd different tracks..... I'd never heard anything like it, I was shocked at how bad each individual track sounded on its own..... That made me curious about music production...

 

Sounds interesting, I'd be interested in seeing the documentary if you can find it.

 

I've been hunting around on YouTube to see if it's up and found this from the documentary. I remember thinking at the time "why can't be press play and pause himself..?"

I'll take another look and maybe I'll find the full documentary... Or maybe it was on one of the David Bowie nights and dropped inbetween other documentaries..?

Anyway it's more interesting today, for me at least... Enjoy...
