I know that this thread will make some members upset but since am not here to win any popularity contest... let it be.
A "newbie" have contacted me and told me that some of the sister site's mirrors upload require a "PREMIUM ACCOUNT" in order to download. He asked me whether that goes against the rule. I did check and the "newbie" is right. You waste 5 minutes with password, an endless captcha, a wait period and several redirects attempts only to be told that the file can only be downloaded by premium account users.
I personally think it goes against the site's rules and against teams', like R2R, position against profiting from warez.
Whoever uploads a file that requires a "premium account" in order to download it surely is profiting from it. Plain and simple.
What makes it even worse is that some of these members who profit with uploads are against a site that was using "R2R" as its name sake in order to charge you for the team's work. Nothing but hypocrisy at its best. What makes them better than that site to be pointing fingers at it?
As to the sister's site, I think it is time that a strict policy banning those who upload for profit be enforced. That is, enforcement WITHOUT exemption. Drain the swamp.
Who agrees and who does not? Feel free to comment.

I agree. Drain it!! You cannot have your cake and eat it too.

 

I don't think it is against the rules, as long as there are at least two free download hosters such as UL and RG, UL and Rockfile, RG and Rockfile, RG and Uploadrocket etc etc, but it would be courteous to mention in the peeplink the links that require a premium account

I think "all links" refers to the two free links, as in both links.
Better for the guy who made the rules to comment here.

If there are "require a PREMIUM ACCOUNT" hosters only, then that is against the rules.

Thanks for your comment. I want to point out that your interpretation of the rule you quoted is incorrect.The rule states in pertinent part that :

The rule plainly states that ALL LINKS must be available for free download without a premium account. The rule does not make ANY distinction whatsoever as to which File Storage Service must be free. Simply put, If the intention of the rule was to allow for certain uploads to be accessible only by way of premium account, the rule writer certainly would have stated so but chose not to.

Well it certainly goes against what R2R has been saying.

 

So, have you contacted any of the sister site mods to report posts that are against the rules to see what they say?

 

how ironic : this are written by mods :

at the same time they embedding on the main post their own "audioz mirror" , posted by pirat which contains also links for premium accounts . they are breaking their own rules there .

they do this by R2R releases and some other groups , except on sunny/fantastic posts . strange or ? something to think about why

 

an easy solution to the problem, is for whoever is needing an account for whatever hosting site they prefer, can buy something, make a post with it, and use the downloads to buy a account they need. upload and Rgator does it, and i figure the others do as well..
and for AZ, its stated that UL or RG to be used, Every post must at least contain links to UL and RG. However, you can replace one of them with "free" services like MEGA. and also the newbies can try to use alternative download services, which kind of give you "all in one" feature

 

the easiest Solution are only to use those hoster which you describe as "free"

Thanks for your replies. With that said, I would like to point out that the solutions you proposed have nothing to do with the purpose of this thread. I did not post this thread to serve as a guide on how to block pop up ads or access free downloads. The purpose of this thread is:

1) to decide whether or not it is against a rule to upload files that require a premium account in order to be download it, and
2) if against a rule, as it appears, to make sure that the rule is enforced without deferred treatment to some members.

I,therefore, kindly ask that responses and comments be within this context. Thank you all.

You are welcome but you don't have to thank me. Thank the newbie who contacted me and bought it to my attention. What surprises me the most is that NONE of the MODS have commented yet. I am waiting to hear from them on this. I am very interested as to what they have to say.

 

basically all of those which are choosed needs Premium Accounts , you can basically download only small files and one within hours . also those choosen hoster pay uploaders for warez uploads when many people downloading it . in my eyes those are professional business to make money out of warez uploads . many of those mirrormakers are not even musicians as they dont have the time to make any music , they are 24/7 on day/week busy to posting mirrors and or finding stuff somewhere to upload on audioz before someone else does . not to speak about freeware uploads .

correct , they have the fear that they gets fired if they say something wrong . thats why you never see any answeres from mods to such threads . mods appears only to delete threads if they dont like it .

 

I wouldn't agree that uploaders should be banned for using monetised links as long as they adhere to they sites policies regarding primary storage hosts.
Simple fact is that some uploaders are here to make money and either live with it or avoid those such releases & move on. The only responsibility of the site is to oversee that primary hosts are supplied and rules are adhered too. They do not control what links uploaders provide and uploaders could choose too include free storage hosts should they want. Site in general is a luxury so be grateful in my own opinion. I would also forget about the teams position. Is well known teams in general are completely against making profit from warez etc. However in majority of cases they choose who can access & race their releases etc.
Be grateful the teams supply anything at all and take what you can if you decide you need it.
At the end of the day there a whole chain of people making a huge effort to supply you with a free working version of a paid product. Again, be grateful for whatever you get i'd say.
More of a concern I would guess is people repackaging keygens etc or using premium monetized links to generate revenue from a free product. Is well known that repackaging etc in general goes directly against many of the teams wishes.
As they say don't bite the hand that feeds you but as already proven some people are too dumb to realise that, simply don't care or are greedy twats
People should avoid upsetting the teams wherever possible imo and show them some respect but again as proven many people simply don't give a shit as long as they get what they want for free.
Personally speaking I think most respect should go out to the actual god damn developers themselves and suppliers who buy the stuff & Teams who bust their ass to get u this stuff. This is then followed by the supply chain all the way down the site.
As long as primary hosts are provided as required in the sites rules then all is good i reckon. Also respect the site & it's staff. Again your getting access to stuff that many dream about for nothing so stop whining as much and enjoy that luxury.
Whatever your position, get to know the shitty uploaders & idiots that are repackaging keygens etc to make profit.
Put pressure on them to change and avoid their releases.
Also accept the fact that some twats are always going to abuse peoples kindness and good intentions.
Avoid the shitty uploaders and that way you aren't lining their pockets and upsetting the teams indirectly.
Respect the fact that your getting a paid product for nothing and instead of whinging about everything possible go use it to make some great music I guess JMO
