Tiesto is the name of the company, but not the Dj's actually.

Tjis is the dj, the guy sitting next to Tijs is the producer and engineer of the company.

And this company doesn't need to sell oundsets, books and tutorials I mean they are enough busy.

 

Just realized hes playing trance again, wonder what brought that on since trance is supposed to be dead.

 

It's a new trend, see lot off people getting back to play old school set's, seems like nostalgia is making them money again.

 

Without checking, I assume those are the Virus (TI) Soundsets, that are around for a while. In case anyone wondering, what to do with them.

Anyone knows if they are offical, or just recreations of Tiesto's tracks by someone?

 

They are neither, actually. Those soundbanks were created by Mike Clark, who made all the presets and then let Tiesto use them on an album. Or he made them for him specifically.

Also, people can name any file whatever they want. You could easily run into others which are just remakes, "inspired bys" and so on.

Last year Tiesto presented his latetst album "Just Be". The album became one of the best selling albums at that time and reached high ranks in a lot of Dance charts.
Sounddesigner Mike Clark, granted to this album and colaborated with the DJ for the first time. Mike Clark created 256 unique new soundpatches for this album. These soundpatches were made with the Access virus soundmodule. The Access virus soundmodule is used in the dance-scene by almost every DJ because of its tight leadsounds and swelling path landscapesounds.
Tiesto could use these 256 soundpatches for all his new songs.
Mike Clark won the first price in sounddesign in 2001 and he worked for Korg and Roland.

Well, I'm glad at least that you feel we shouldn't stop listening to ALL music because the production teams of some jacka$$ "rockstar DJs" put out professional sounding swill that has no more meaningful musical expression than elevator music in a lobotomy factory - but you can dance to it - and no other goal but to get people to bop around with glow sticks, fantasizing that they're destroying and recreating the world over and over again through the sheer awesome and immense power of their fierce voguing

 

I quite like Ferry, of all the Dutch producers he's probably my fav, I'm just not into that dutch trance sound (overly detuned sawtooth).

If someone has a team of people doing work for them, paid to do the work, and under their direction; their output is not true "ghost production". Otherwise, most released music, would fall within that over-characterization.

 

I agree, although it gives new producers false expectations. And it is very dishonest when these big DJs come out and talk about how hard they worked to make the track.

I was mainly criticizing the process, not the result. Although most of these ghost produced tracks are rubbish anyway.

 

If you dj you probably wouldnt care if its ghost produced you just care if the crowds you play to dig the music, unless you happened to worship certain producers -- then yeh i would imagine it would matter. That said I doubt many are worshipping dj amy wiles lol

 

We should definitely separate the artist from the art. For example, if something terrible was revealed about Haydn or Mozart tomorrow, I would still listen to their compositions while keeping my feelings about their persons separate.

So you make a good point. It's just the dishonesty that I hate. Like massive bodybuilders that try to convince young guys that they're not on a ton of roids to sell them products that will allegedly make them huge as well.

Respect to producers like Ferry who keep it real.
