Good point Kapellmeister. HOwever, would you then say the same about cover artists? If a DJ Reproduced an instrumental and changed the key etc, but used the same vocals? WOuld you still say thus? I do see your point though.

on the internet it's so easy to file a copyright claim because zero proof is required to do so. Sites like youtube and soundcloud don't want to deal with any legal issues so they just take all copyright claims at face value and put the burden of proof on you the uploader. In the real world you have to have the proof to make such a claim and even with proof there is much debate before a judgement is made on who owns the right to whatever.

Why would you wanna upload a mix of songs other people created? In that case why dont you just upload the links to the soundcloud of the artists you want people to listen to?

Sure, if the tracks were just being crossfaded from one to another tidus1990 I'd have to agree, but I'm talking about creative DJ mixing, mashups, remixing, production, scratching etc.

well, seems pretty obvious that this website isn't for DJs
and by the way you accepted the conditions, you should have read it
its a website for musicians, not for "DJ pressplay" kind of type
