Too soon to say unequivocably. I tried it against my SAND instance on a drum buss and ended up keeping Sand because Buster was doing something I didn't like to the kick. To be honest it wasn't a fair fight as I had been mixing/EQ-ing into that Sand instance for awhile, and making decision with it, for too long. With Sand the kick was rounder. I think it might have just been that Buster wasn't taking off as much of the high-mids as Sand was, and it's an industrial-ish kick with a lot of high end noise which I had gotten used to hearing with a decently attenuated.

That said, it came across punchy as fuck. There was also an issue which I mean to report where the available makeup gain was insufficient at times to compensate for the GR.

I promise I'll get back here when I'm able to give it more of a fair test.

Speaking of Tim P >>> Favorite most used comp from Tim P. Is the Opto 3a...2a... It is two in one plug...this baby is my #1 above all others track compressor limiter.... Its on every production vocal I mix along with his Vari Level 3 stage comp.... These 2 units sound so good it's almost sick \m/ vocals bass drums they can do the job...the distortion is so musical on the heavy compression its unreal... No Acqua can touch these IMO... And this is on old nebula tech ;) I'm very exited to hear what Tim P. Brings to the Acqua tech in Nebula 4... \m/

I know about them . Fetish is really good fet compressor . I use it on mixing engineering. They can do better GUI design for it , something more HD .

I've just tried BUSTER and it sounds really awesome. However, the meter doesn't move at all. Nevermind, my ears got instantly pleased, though with an Airwindowsy kind of blind feeling.
