Go to gearslutz and read now what guys write there about new plugins. Nothing changed, only price. Still bugy and no quality in sound.
His prices for first plugins were huge, but then he lowered prices. Now this stuff, which he described as full modelling, instead emulation and inspired by's. Want to try them as well, but don't think it is something revolutionary and top-notch..

Would be nice if you and steinberg worked together on something for cubase. A core 12 channel strip perhaps?

 

imho it is not about who makes the best plugins....
it is not a "fight" between developer A versus B....
it is about your "own mixing & mastering" skills ...
I've heard projects/tracks in my life made for example only with logic or cubase & nothing else (only stock plugins for mixing/mastering & the creation of sounds) & sounded so well produced that nothing was missing from an Grade A developer

 

No need, they have no copy protection.

I'm glad to see he finally added trim controls for his plugins.

This is in my opinion a very nice plugin. It sounds heavenly, has a fine flavor of color and is 100% freeware.

 

I have it on my comp. and i can give it to you for a symbolic AO price. Say 200$ and we shake hands?

 

I love that stuff he released not even a year ago is already under the "Legacy" section of his website. In another six months he'll have to move them to the "Obsolete" section!

I like the LCF filter. Low cut seems to do the Pultec style boost/cut trick around the specified frequency. Punchy drums, hmmm!

 

Despite people trying to put him down--and rightfully in a lot of ways--his sound is awesome. Sometimes you have to wonder if folk even know what to listen for...or they're just used that "plugin sound" and anything close to natural just escapes them.

 

Am I the only one using the free Besure 57 morph VST?
I used it recently on a lead guitar track as a ' summing device ' for two 57s.

 

I don't atm have an Shure SM57 and I didn't like how my other mics sounded through it.

 

Agreed! I use his EQs a lot - even though they've been buggy and I have to reload them sometimes. If only he had a better approach to the business side of things . . .

 

Does anyone know what demo limitations are on the new "Legacy Series" plugs? I'm afraid to try for fear of getting blasted by sudden 12db gain increase (like on the old plugs).

 

I have many shure 57's an none of them sound alike lol

 

It's a 58 with a different screen.

 

It's the opposite: sound cuts out from time to time.
