Currently, I'm using r2r's latest release for Kontakt 5 as well as a portable version of 6 to run the libraries that won't work on 5. I wan't to update but I don't know how that will effect Komplete Kontrol (using latest k'ed r2r version) or if some projects will start acting up and not open some Kontakt libraries. Any advice would be appreciated...thanks =)

No effect at all. Only thing is that projects with K5 will continue to be opened with k5. Both, k5 and K6, can coexist. Kontakt 5 appears as Kontakt 5 and Kontakt 6 as Kontakt. K6 will open ALL libraries, and show up in KK.

R2R komplete kontrol is obsolete you can use the last one from Native Access. it don't need a serial, only a user account as native access.
it will load any kontakt library from the kontakt vst dll, legit or not.
the portable is not seen by Komplete Kontrol you must use the setup version.

so use kontakt 6.3.0 and the last Komplete Kontrol, hardware drivers are updated.
