Is the best sounding synth that i've tried, even beats omnisphere 2, the sounds are rich, beautiful, dreamy, etc

you can get the nightwish sound with this, i tried with other vstis but weren't so close

even i'm thinking of buying it, and that's because some expansions doesn't work in the cracked old version and is only 32 bit

Nexus 2 technically is not a synthesizer. It is sctrictly a ROMpler with fixed soundsets.

Please don't compare Nexus nor Avenger with Omnisphere. That is like comparing apples and oranges.

 

you can do all the sound with most of the vsti
you just searching a vst that just having many presets with ready done!

try to learning to design the sound by yourself and you will see how you can do must of the Nex sound

+1 for VPS Avenger. It's like Nexus but you can also do pretty amazing sound design. Nexus is good but it's very limited in its sounds.

True, Nexus 2 flexibility is limited compared with that of the others we have mentioned. However, in the creative process it is not what you have. It is what you know how to use at its full potential.

 

No there is nothing that comes close to Nexus! AFAIK there was never a hit made without Nexus. You have to buy Nexus if you want to be a serious producer. Don't waste your time wandering around aimlessly ..buy Nexus ASAP!

Like in many topics there're a lot of over-passionate and subjective opinions. I barely use complex synths (rompler or not), but Nexus 2 can't be that bad.
It's not a sin to use a synth (no rhyme intended) without spending hours designing your sound. On the other hand Zebra 2 is fantastic but not comparable to Nexus or Omnisphere. More like in the Sylenth1 league though you can end with more complex sounds.

well common guys,
asking some to make their own sounds is like asking pianists to build new pianos for every new song because "you must sound unique"

its a very personal choice really. some focus on songwriting and hardly have the time or interest or capacity to dive into what it takes to make sounds, i struggle with it and ive been making music for a good while. its a whole field of its own.

if using presets makes you release your creativity then use nexus etc, dont even pay attention to what others say, and then maybe the time will come when you maybe want to get into sound design, if ever.

now regarding the "thinking about buying it", I dont know how you roll with your software in general, maybe you are at a beginner stage or just haven't establish a clear workflow etc, I can only tell you that when you are finish wildly experimenting downloading software randomly, buying the software you really use is a bliss.

the impact it has on you psychologically is often hugely positive, you establish a relation with your tools that is hard to obtain when using *fixed stuff.

Learn the basics of synthesis. Obviously, you want someone else to wipe your ass for you? I would hazard a guess you're what we term a scroller.. scrolling through Presets with no imagination other than to sound like your overrated hero's as you download packs and use Ominisphere 2 like Nexus, as a glorified Rom Player. Omnisphere, Alchemy (fuck you apple!!) Spire and Iris are amongst the most powerful synth sound design tools available. Maybe spring some hard earned cash for some software, so as to place some value on it so you will be compelled to learn how to use it. Its all about writing tracks, songs and trying for the most part to find a sound that is your own voice. No software will ever make you happy until you know how to use it. Be brave, forget the hype. You will look at this thread one day and laugh.

I like Hive (and Spire) best currently (trance) if u need quick solutions

nexus doesnt sound so good, it just has alot of samples and presets like sylenth ( you can still make great music with them)
