    Just so you know I am an advanced IT person. I was going to disable the updates but I wanted to try it with all the updates and especially one that is coming for the unlimited plugins Not that I am having issues with limited plugins.It just would be a nice thing to have.
    I am not saying that it would or would not work with out the updates. Just stating a few issues I had with it, to try and help others.
    It was really easy for me to flop over to my other ssd drive with win 7 x64..

    Yes I know really hard to determine. WIn 10 Has tons of updates and most shit does not get fixed.

    It's no problem. I also tried the latest and greatest. Since from what I read the LTS version will end soon.
    Really mind blowing though. Since I honestly thought by now MS should have a very stable version and all the kinks out.

    hi there. great thread. I'm AMD setup, wondering if the equivalent of C-states of Intel was to be disabled here, too.

    here is my CPU configuration in BIOS:

    im using blackbird and spybot anti beacon to turn shit of by MS.

    have windows updates turned off, because i always had trouble with windows being damn slow after updates.
    If there are really critical updates, i will see it flashing somewhere and do them manual.
    worked like a charm for over 7 years now - with win7, win 8.1 and now win10.

    Win 10LTSB here, the only thing that I would like to avoid is automatic updates function without warnings, blackbird seems to make many other deep interventions on the system, and this scares me a little. Am I wrong?

    MS does changed too, for example it turned telemetry on again without asking me.

    i am using NoVirusThanks Windows Update Stop to block windows updates.

    blackbird let you make a list of the things you can disable, then you google it and then apply what you like.

    additional i deactivated windows edge via power shell script!

    windows 10 does hang a lot, for example it takes like 30 minutes to let me use the taskbar again, settings app the same, while other stuff from older windows versions like system controls work still. but i manage to set everything up the way i can use everything, when the taskbar hangs.
    (this is a lovely lots of people have, when you google and you cant find an explanation, why it happens, only solution is to reinstall? but why?!)

    windows 10 is really one of the worst windows versions, if it was possible to install windows 8.1 the easy way, i would do it, 8.1 was a lot better imo.

    i guess on win10 they will push it that way : if they recognize anti telemetry and customizing shit out behavior , they make it worse

    I use the Game Booster feature of Ashampoo WinOptimizer linked to the process names of my DAWs, such that whenever you start a DAW, all the background crap gets switched out, and when you exit the DAW it all gets switched on again, automatically. Telemetery you don't need to worry about unless you're running a hokey windows version.
