    for example the cdsoundmaster plugins:

CDSoundMaster VTMC-M2 (buss compressor). punchy, 3d, big, gluey sound, nice tone try it (takes long to set up though)

CDSoundMaster VTM-M2 (tape saturation). I don't have real tape saturation but this is the most pleasing I've ever heard. Nice to start with output all the way up, input low and bring up to match volume. hear difference. amazing. there are two setting hi and lo.. this thing is great for giving life to ANYTHING. driving it on roland canvas sounds (especially the mallet style instruments)... there is no need for clunky synths with this thing

acustica silk - best high end around. there is nothing i've heard with better top. do you guys know how lucky we are to have that on sister site

what are some stuff that just sound better, newer/ highly rated vsts

i am on phone. but let's try to type.

dmg track limit is hard at first. but you will learn to use it. it is good.

besides that isol 8 is damn good.

why? you can check your master in 8 modes. like low high solo, low solo, medium solo, side solo etc etc. so it is very easy to find the problem. if you know how to use it properly. especially when the noise in master is barely audible or you cannot find it unless someone told you so

While Phonec 2 is a nice emulation of 'old' sounds, synthwave, nostalgia sounds, you call it whatever. I simply stick with Phonec 1, yes the 32 bit version, because besides the VST itself, it also included a FX processor. I use the FX processor after a couple of synths when I found them rather cold and I need some warmth / vintage feel / warbly tape sound.

MeldaProduction plugins. I understand the reasons, even share some of them.
Still, every serious review I've watched says that sound from good to excellent. That's the most important reason.
But besides that, the tweaking and customization features that almost every plugin has are outstanding. Just the modulation possibilities are sick. Mid-Side mode, auto gain compensation, A/B and more comparison,... all have them. Multiband versions...

Some of them have advanced features like dynamic equalization that aren't even listed in the description. Like "well, in case someone needs it I'll add this little dyneq detail"

And a couple of modest but very good sounding ampsims: Kuassa Amplifikation Creme and TSE Audio X502.

I'm not sure if its considered underrated but I haven't heard much, or anything about Kuassa Efektor. My fav tape delay at the moment.

You can download it from the MeldaProduction site and get any recent R2R patch/keygen. If you want details PM me.

My favorite guitar wah-wah plugin is the Kuassa Effektor WF3067. Kuassa's plugins are usually underrated.

Someone had to make that joke

What are the knocks against melda?

Under rated for me would be Dmitry Sches's Tantra and Thorn

Thorn provides a really specific sound , but you can throw tantra on literally anything and it will sound amazing

Guys, please describe your plugin. What's good about it? And why do you think it's underrated. It'll help those who don't know this plugin, like me, better understand what it's about.

    Another one for MeldaProduction!

Especially MSoundFactory, people don't talk much on the internet about this monster of a synth?!
I use this synth now for some months, and the fact that it has the architecture of Mxxx gives it a unique touch, and heck, it has even Mxxx build in it.
As an example you can open one Mxxx or 96 Mxxx instances (96×96=9216 FX), and on top of that, staple a Mxxx on top of a Mxxx and on that Mxxx another Mxxx etc. (CRAZY..., Isn't It?!)

For the people don't know about Mxxx, it's a multi FX plugin that loads other melda-FX in any fashion you want (Serial, Parallel, Feedback And Anything In Between)

And the spectral tools are highly addictive:

Like MMorph, which blends 2 audio sources in the spectral domain, it's hard to explain, but there are audio examples on the homepage.
