I am extremely excited and pleased to be able to announce that I have teamed up with amazing synth and effects developers u-he and pro audio site Rekkerd.org to run a music contest to win some really great prizes!

On offer is a bespoke soundset, exclusively designed by me for the competition winner, for a u-he synth of their choice. As well as plug-in licenses from u-he, and also bundles and soundsets from me. More details on the prizes below.

All you have to do is download the competition pack of sounds and use some of them in an original composition, in any genre you like. The pack contains 20 patches each for the following u-he synths: Bazille, Diva, Podolski, Tyrell N6, Zebra and Zebralette. So that’s a total of 120 patches for you to have fun with. I’ve included sounds for three of their free synths to make sure that absolutely everyone can enter!

You can also use any other synths, samples or live instruments you wish. Just upload your track to the Soundcloud contest group and email Rekkerd.org ([email protected]) an MP3 of the track. Only one submission per entrant.

The deadline for entering is Sunday, 24th July, after which it will be time for our expert panel to judge. On the panel are myself, Ronnie from Rekkerd.org and one of the u-he team; as well as two special guest judges, legendary, award-winning, game composer, Jason Graves (Tomb Raider, Far Cry: Primal, Dead Space) and, techno pioneer and sound designer, Si Begg.
