The Uncanny AudioSex Google Translator

I just discovered this amazing new facility - thank you so much AudioSex.

I assume it must be powered by Artificial Intelligence because I can't imagine the Moderators doing this, by hand, in real time.

Anyway, I took it for a spin, typed in my comment, and then received the translated version.
I think it's damn near psychic - just incredible - maybe even scary for some people.

The INPUT Comment:
"Man - all those crappy East West libraries are so old, and boring."

The Translated OUTPUT Comment:
"I can't appreciate those amazing East West products because I'm a dumb fuckwit that can't make music with anything that wasn't produced yesterday, or requires me to press more than one button."

This is revolutionary guys.

p.s. I didn't have time to explore the presets.
For me it was just set by default to 'reveal truth' mode.
I don't know what the 'dumb down' mode would have produced.
Maybe someone else could explore all those presets - too many to list here.

We're officially at the stage where sample libraries users accuse each other of being dumb and lazy.

That was the default "Reveal Truth" mode tho. Haven't noticed this one before you mentioned it.
Tried it, it's nothing interesting. Translates your post as "EastWest is a bad software and I won't even try to defend it".

 

What are you doing there?

 

Good to know that the 'Misread, Misinterpret, and Scramble' mode is working well then, because I would personally defend East West products as gems and am amazed (and disappointed) at how much entitlement-based slagging they've received. But each to their own.

 

Falcon was not "good enough" for some. After that, no matter what; this Play thing does not stand a chance. lol

EastWest's sample cds were a little bit better than what was the average release quality, when they were making them in the 90s.

Agreed - and creative musicians were (have always been) making fantastic music with far less resources than these products offer, (rather than whingeing about what's not good enough for them to work with). I reckon most of the vacuous criticisms these products receive is from musically bankrupt music critics - not from creative musicians.

Interestingly, I just put that comment into the translator INPUT - and the OUTPUT came out exactly the same.

 

People expected Falcon to blow the dust off the stars, and instead it ended up being just a sample engine with bells, whistles, FM, timestretch, granular processing and FX. No wonder they got disappointed.

I agree that there's no better classical sample libraries for acoustic instruments than EastWest. But that's a pretty low bar to take, in my book. And DEFINITELY doesn't warrant any "too much knobs for you" arguments.
@Ad Heesive I mean, have you ever seen a synthesizer? Those things are really cool. They have lots of knobs and you can make sounds with them from scratch. How cool is that, huh?
But then again, to each their own. Maybe you compose for corporate ads or something, iunno.

OK OK all that is interesting, but what I just want to know about this:

What you said seems to imply I may have to push more than one button.
I want to know :
1) Where is this extra button (or buttons)?
2) How many times should I push it (them)?

 

Is there a Too Lazy for complex creativity mode?
