Hey guys, here's a weird question for y'all.
I saw a thread here yesterday about Cubase 11 Pro. As it had links, understandably it's been deleted. Moreover, the original page with the links has been deleted, and the google drive lnks, and even the youtube video about it - all completely wiped away in less than a day.
Also, the release hasn't been mentioned anywhere else on the internet, and I've searched high and low.

If wouldn't be out of the ordinary for something fake, but the thing is - the app seems to be working fine.
So I'm being super-cautious about it, from blocking outgoing connections to having my bitdefender on high alert... But I'm just trying to make sense of it all. Was this some sort of an unintentionally leaked release that we are not supposed to know about, or does it have some sort of a stealth uber-virus that I should be really worried about?

Sorry if I'm breaking any rules by even asking this, but I'm just trying to piece the puzzle together, as the whole story looks shady af.

 

it's not against the rules to talk about warez on audiosex. it's just against the rules to provide links to warez. i'm jealous that you were able to get that before it was removed. i never even saw the post.

 

that shit was legit. i dont need it though because I actually have bought cubase pro. but i was curious to test it out, no lie it was 100% legit. I loaded up teh sample cubase project and it was running smoothly, none of the weird ADC BS from team vr's 10.5 release.

It also wasnt a fake elements extender version. How do I know? Because this one actually had midi inserts too. I still ahve my history from yesterday, and yes the video and links on the blog site have been taken down, interestingly enough the blog is still live with some steinberg stuff, only hte cubase pro 11 dissappeared.

Was it a leak from a disgruntled team member from a hacking team? Who knows. That shit was real. Atleast as much as I delved into it. Anyway, kinda shady too....I have no clue whats going on. Because it worked, but now the links are also gone along with the youtube channel. I had it running in a VM just in case.

This was all kinda shady but I also got rid of it because it was too good to be true, even though yes it was FULLY WORKING. You dont know if it has some kind of malware timebomb or something.....all we can gather is the package included a team vr crack, but the actuall cubase 11 exe crack has no affiliation with any team.

edit: no i will not provide links. ive gotten rid of it since i actually bought a copy a while ago.

my only issue is....if there's no team affiliation with it then im super skeptical. obviously someone managed to actually get it working, but we don know who. did that someone also add some malicious code in it too? its best for people who downloaded it to keep a watchful eye, or Id reccomend deleting it until we have more info about it. this is probably one of the weirder cases. atleast with the protools thing with version 10, the user was active on this forum and we knew who he was.

 

Everyone should relax about it. When it is thoroughly tested, it will show up next door. Dont ask me for links.

 

In case it turns out to be malicious, could you please drop us a note as well? Just to let those of us who played around with it know that we are fckd.

Would be nice to hear exactly why it got pulled? Shame, since it would have been nice to have more folks testing it.

 

I ran some of the files through Virustotal. I don't know if they are false positives, but I think I am too scared to try it.

Within the 20 minutes or so I tested it, I noticed no issues. I was even running Amplitube 5 and Seventh Heaven without issue. Wish I hadn't deleted it so I could have done further testing. When I saw it got pulled today I assumed the worse and reloaded from backup here so I lost the download.

 

These look a lot like false positives, it's the tipical bunch of false positives antiviruses..
Especially SecureAge APEX, it detects ANYTHING as virus. Literally every file i ever uploaded to virustotal. I wonder how awful can it be to be a SecureAge APEX paying customer..waking up every morning knowing that you will have to fight with your antivirus to be allowed to keep your entire computer from getting quarantined and deleted :D
Soo, if you ever get depressed and think you're living a shit life, think about them SecureAge APEX users, you'll feel better :D

Personally, I would feel a hell of a lot better to use a R2R version though.. also there's a new version of ableton coming out soon with some nice new features..
EDIT: by the way, in the first virustotal link it says under Copyright: "Team V.R private build" lol

Maybe slightly OT, but I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all what you do for this audio community, I've only recently registered on the forum but I've created so many tracks thanks to you and to all the others. You guys are amazing!

I will. I have been testing it for the last 12 hours.

Firstly, it got deleted because it is illegal to link to w4r3z. Secondly, it came from an unknown source. Nobody knows what they did with it. Thirdly, I was one of those who reported it to protect the site and to protect other members. Everyone who wants to test it will be able to do so soon if everything checks ok.

 

For what it's worth, Bitdefender and Malwarebytes detected nothing on my machine. Which is not as reassuring as a clean Virustotal result, but a fairly good start.

I believe it's been pulled because posting links is against the rules, and for some reason the original poster decided to share it here - instead of the proper site.
Tonight I asked him why he pulled the links from his own blog as well. His response was "nobody believed me it's real, so I deleted it". To be honest, it doesn't help his credibility at all.

 

Those are false positive.

 

I had the official Team VR Cubase Elements 11 installed, so I decided to skip the eLicenser from this release. In fact the only file I used was the Cubase 11 installer itself, and the replacement Crack folder with the components and the exe.
And it worked, not a single hiccup. Which probably means that the eLicenser part of the release is a direct clone of the VR one - hence the "signature".

 

I did not understand it was nothing when I saw the topic here from cubase 11 pro by the tests that I did not run 100%, Ta closing like 10 has some bugs my dream in one day to have cubase totally cracked like cubase 5 was cracked

Which errors did you notice?

 

It worked still working and in test here it has been running consistantly in rotation with automation since yesterday nearing 24 hours

What u will find is it will not reconise the vintage reverb sound pak if you have it installed when it launchs as its only reconised by a pro licence
Also it will not reconise the bass amp ir vstsound pak either if u load the bass amp vst
This version is patched to use the cubase elements 11 licence within the soft sel
These 2 mentioned vstsound libs are irrelevant to the Daw actually working with pro options enabled we all use 3rd party for reberbs and guitar amps anyway

What is working that was not in the last release

Delay compensation working for some people but seems it doesnt work for others, here it works in the testing
Chord track editor fully functional 4th row now is not greyed out and not working.

This sounds exciting. I'd be much more interested to know who's responsible for it, because as much as I loved the recent wave, a Cubase release would be the most anticipated and most significant release of the past ten years, it would be an earthquake. I'd love to know whose e-feet I can e-lick for it.
