The most undeniable fact that everyone involved in music production should pay attention to is how to work with notes. But according to the available evidence, almost 99.99% of these people do not know how to work with notes. Neither book writers, nor famous artists, nor music producers, nor anyone else can work with notes.

The main basis of music is notes, and thousands and thousands of people spend many decades of their lives producing music, but they are not able to work well with notes. This situation becomes worse when these people themselves are not interested in this work.

All methods of teaching music have failed and none of them can solve this problem.

When do you think we can witness the change of this reality and claim that everyone who works in the field of music understands the reality of the notes in a good way and is able to control the notes with 100% certainty?

The saddest fact about AI is that it joins a music forum and tries too hard to make friends.

    Go home, AI. You're drunk.

Hopefully it won't sound too asinine, but in response to your important topic I first wanted to point out that technically "notes" are the little squigglies on the musical staff notation. There's nothing outstanding and particularly "ultimate"" about this traditionally used notation, even in the western music tradition, tons of others have also been used at different times, such as little squares, wavy lines, secret codes, flowers and even religious symbols, have all served as "notes" before.

So it is not the understanding of "notes" that you probably want to talk about, but the understanding of tones, pitches.

But tones are again a false start, because the real meat of music is in the intervals between the root of the scale and its other tones.

What you're grasping for is a way to understand all scales and all concords (varied interval stacks, both bigger and smaller than traditionally used "chords") simultaneously, to be able to freely use them in composition fluently. Lately there have been a lot of software tools for "locking to scale", which though they're very useful in their own limited way, again lead you astray from this goal (by locking you in, instead of letting you be fluent with it).

It's a constant struggle against tools and conventions, if you want to really understand music. But it's very much worth it to try to cut your own way through the infinite spaces of what's possible and deliver to the world something that they may not have known was there.

So the people are successful since 40+ years, but they are not because of a lack of notes? I come closer and closer to the assumption - if this is not AI - that we need urgently more AI because there is no NI (Natural Intelligence).

The forum should put a filter on new members when publishing the first thread (many forums already have that), something like a minimum reading time since sign up

Artificial or not, I see no evidence of intelligence. Looking at my post I should really make sure I look real.

notes are actually an obstacle to music,
ever saw a drum sheet or any more complex sheet?
notes length makes zero sense on percussive instrument, and grouping notes on polyphonic instrument melodies is pathetic too
also MIDI works way different than musical notation, it's almost the opposite to begin with

    Yes!
    Notation, no...

The real physical notes, pitches with whatever representation you'd favor.

never use more than 12 different notes in a song, its an unwritten rule. unless your German then you can throw in a "H" every once in a while to mind fuck your publisher.
Ps whenever BING gives me an AI bot to ask a question, I always ask it "how can we ensure the destruction of all AI?"
never got an answer yet. maybe I'll add it to my tag line someday..just so I can smell the silicon burning..

Lack of correctly understanding the working relationship between notes causes the creation of such works. Loops that are repeated consistently from beginning to end because the creator of these works cannot cultivate a strategy in his mind so as not to fall into such loopy traps.
