In stylus RMX there was a "groove" midi/ timing function. It had the 808 (no swing) and the 909 (with different shuffle timings) Maybe Goldbaby has some too or some other firm.
It seems to me, if you use original (clean direct from source) 808 or 909 with the midi grooves ( just for the timing/ swing, shuffle.)
Combine those with these patterns posted here. Is almost like having an real 808/ 909?

I'm almost certain that the straight midi "groove" of the 808 from stylus isn't exactly on the grid of my cubase.
But it has been some time ago.
And i'm sure there are other 808 midi files out there. To be clear, they are without swing. But again i'm almost certain they don' line up exactly to your DAW's grid.

MiDi files are easy to find. I have hundreds of them. What I have been thinking of posting are the presets for the Roland VST. I have the majority of those patterns.
