I particularly liked the implied amalgamation of the resurgence of guitar playing in the "mid-80s" with MTV, Mark Knoepfler's Money for Nuthin' and the heavy metal hair bands of that era - stark contrast with the noticeably guitar light Hip Hop-Rap-Trap decades that followed.
