@The Pirate Even if it's a joke or no I'd just registered to say thank you for all of the efforts put here and on the sister site.
I know that there's a hoard of bad azz'es infiltrated but don't give them a damn reason to fell jizzy for thinking that they'd affect you in some way.
There are lots of people who really appreciate your work and am very happy to be part of such a nice place like here.

On usenet there is/was a guy named Captain Salvo who used to mirror select stuff.
He was the one sure trustworthy poster I knew of and he really WAS the groups he supplied.

When I first saw your handle I wondered if there was any connection, besides rum and curved blades.
I guessed not but have kept my eye open for clues / connections.
I ought to go check up on his status these days...
