French toast:

Whisk eggs, milk and a little salt together. Soak the bread deep in the mix for at least 60s per side. Then fry them up, add a bit of cinnamon when plated. I suggest maple syrup over corn syrup.

Wine, a nice shiraz cabernet works as a floating drink, Merlot for social affairs(not cheating on the wife kind of affair, those require cocaine). If you like chilled drinks you can add Club Soda to the Merlot to make Wine Spitzer but in North America that's frowned upon.

Additionally a lot of white wines can be served chilled between 2-4 degree's. But outside of that is a major faux pas, as some of your friends may never EVER speak to you again.

@Lois Lane I grew up in Ontario, was amazing at french. Moved to Manitoba where French was optional and dropped it like a good hobbit. (Sorry Sam, but Gollum was the better friend).

Even in Ontario I doubt most people know french. Pomme frits? I thought pomme was apple?
