CUBASE SKINS for NEXUS DOWNLOAD LINKS

File.io deletes after first download it seems.

These links are valid for 7 days
All four files have folders that can be extracted as is
1. Cubase light lime
2. Cubase red
3. Cubase current blue/cyan and
4. Cubase red with a little darker knobs and darker screws

Getting the screen from the S950, the colors, even logo and model# and close to the font the same is not a problem.
The problem is in the way REFX have designed the skin. The dials while moving similarly like the min/max in your image, have only one image that can be used it seems, it appears to be global for it not static per location. There is likely a setting but unless someone finds it in the registry or replacing by overwriting in a resource dll = equally unsafe, I have no idea how. It is possible on the main image to change the underlay of knobs to grey, cream and red like a glow etc, but only one knob color/type can be selected.

i.e. until they change the skin to have different dials for master filter, modifiers, outputs etc... you have to choose one - the red, the cream or the grey.

There are some fine artists on here and for me it's a hobby only, this is about as close as I can get if you want it. You may wish to edit the *.json file to change the text to light grey but that's up to you.

I set the knobs at 7 o'clock, 12 o'clock and 5 o'clock to red and they change to white anywhere else. The buttons change on click to the grey popup.

I like it alot i dont mean to nitpik but i think it might be cool if you didnt add the Akai and S950 and instead just changed the Nexus logo to the font used on the Akai Logo if its possible either way nice work

 

I'll see what I can do, I am mid mixing a double album and this is my diversion to give my ears a rest

1st Step:

For every day use, open the "retro_folder.7z" and to overwrite the following *.png files
in your "retro folder" with the same files from the "retro_folder.7z"

C:\ProgramData\reFX\nexus\Assets\retro

logos.png
retro_hdd.png
retro_hdd_delete.png
retro_hdd_load.png
retro_hdd_save.png

you can easily "rename your original" files to *.png.off

Nexus will no longer load them as *.off but you have the originals in your folder.

This is necessary, so that the NEW Floppy-Disc Load/Safe/Delete icons and the complete new design can be loaded!

2nd Step:

INSTALL EMITR25 NEXUS-RETRO-SKIN (Nexus V5.1.9):

Copy the "ZIA-AKAI-V1.zip" to your

**:\NexusContent\Skins\N5 Retro

3rd Step:

open the ".thumbnails.7z" and copy the "ZIA-AKAI-V1.jpg" from the ".thumbnails" folder into your ".thumbnails" folder.

Weird. This is the skin i like best unfortunately it's the only one that does not work on my nexus. It always reverts back to the default skin.

 

Hi, I made a bugfix for you and Fallout Fan

you made a nice clean Skin, but you need to edit the "skin.json" correct - the first 2 color need to be RGB code
furthermore, not all required files were in the zip file
at third, you should check your used Software and clean the *.png & *.jpg files with an ExifCleaner
Nexus donn`t like files with more than ton of EXIF Data from software like Affinity Designer 2 or Photoshop
but the most important thing is that there is "NO" folder in the zip file !!! only data

sorry maybe because I have legit NEXUS but no skins will load, there is no option for me to change skins. I dont have a button for it or the settings that show how to change skins. any advice?

 

1. click on N2 RETRO first
2. click on N5 symbol and go on "Skin Browser"
