The Newest Surge Synth Is...

    The newst version of Surge is great, has that fantastic and easy on the eyes dark GUI, but every time that I close FL Studio 20.+ when there is an instance of Surge in a project and want to open a new project, it saves the one I was working on but crashes FLS. It's the only Vst3 synth I'm using and wonder if that is the issue. Also, the FX module isn't very intuutive for me to use.

    Any thoughts or similar experiences?

    What kind of tiger would I be if I didn't come to the aid of a woman in need. So, I just installed Surge played some notes, saved and reopened it, opened another project and ... nothing. Solid as a rock with Win7 and Reaper, Surge v1.7 from 08/08, nightly and normal skin.

    So your prob must be caused either by FL or that strange device you're using (oPad, or uPad, or such, IIRC [​IMG]).

    Same here. Very stable with reaper win7 x64

    But I agree that effect section is not intuitive nor is the filter section.

    I must add , after my critics, that it's a great synthesiser anyway.
    A lot of different sounds can be made with it from silky to harsh, percussive to smooth , digital to "analogue" like.
    One of the best free synth actually.

    This thread is about one of the best free synthesiser, let's keep it that way.
