I always use rubber bands to attach my hardware compressor units together, usually my VCA type to an opto for the true flexability that it offers me when either tracking or mixing. It's finally about time that they've modeled this concept in a software emulation, although I guess that they probably tie together just two VCA units in parallel such as a DBX 160 and a 76 model. Like Frank Zappa said not in his song NOT Dirty Love but rather Dynamo Hum (assist... triggerflipper), "Snap it Frenchie"!!! Kudos to MIXLAND.

He said that in Dirty Love, but of course you would know that if you really had all that hardware.

Plug's mediocre but muh representation tho. Might've given the options there at least. Including robotic arms or stands for those of us who don't want to deal with humans of any colour.
Anyways, have a better Rubber Band

Reacomp for me its the most flexible compressor there is...
All of what you see its mostly marketing anyways, fancy GUIs to catch the attention of people and tell you "this as got an analog coloration just like the real unit" and BS like that.

    I loved Presswerk,
a sweet spot between Precision and Coloring, very useful and unique sounding..

And there's a Lot more to TrackComp than what that GUI will make you assume indeed..

But imo the most Flexible compressor must be > DMG Compassion,
where you can modify any and ALL aspects of the compressor internal functions/parameters/response..

Only for Expert fiddlers tho..

Creativity..sometimes bring you in a dirty right way…follow the rabbit, the theory helps, but your human brain makes the difference.
I remember on uad site there is something about how to use more then one comoressor at same time when and why… ….. https://www.uaudio.com/blog/chaining-1176ln-la2a-compressors/
Chaining in insert and then a parallel compression…what about a multiband compression in a reverb…creativity….

*cough* my multistage compressor/gate is fully modular, so you can create any curves you want and insert any additional algorithm you need, so i guess it can´t get more flexible than that. want a "rubberband" version? just connect 24 stages in steps of -1.5db and attach a gui.

however, i am not sure if the majority of people would love to have to build everything themselves. aren´t the best to use tools those with only 4-5 knobs?

This youtuber is a joke* you meant.

But yes, most of them are biased towards stuff because companies pay them to "review" their products, i dont trust any of them.
