Hello everyone,I hope you have a great 2020.

I found this in my mailbox by Christmas day from RSPE Audio Solutions:

As you know, reinstatements allow you to upgrade your perpetual PT license to the latest version until the end of your reinstatement period of one year. You also get entitled to any previous version up until Pro Tools 10.

    They usually cost $300 dollars.

I figured that i could upgrade my old licenses (I have licenses for 7.3, 7.4, 9, and 11) for $200 bucks, and starting PT 2018, you don't need an iLok dongle anymore. You just need iLok Cloud, a Web-based service.

I COULD OWN A PERPETUAL LICENSE AND STANDARD OFFICIAL SUPPORT FROM AVID FOR $200.

The offer was supposed to last until December 31, but I bought it on January 8 and the link is still active.

I jumped the gun and I can't be happier. There are several advantages for me:

    - Updating to the latest OS on my Mac
    - Hassle free use of PT. Cracked 10 and 12 are kind of buggy.
    - Enhancements in workflow and features that take the dinosaur to the 21st. century.
    - Enhanced stock plugins

I don't want this thread to turn into a PT love/hate discussion, but if you've ever wanted to turn legit on Pro Tools, there's no cheaper ever. Do it before they take down the link. Of course, you need an old legit license, but that could be bought for pennies. How much can a PT7 license cost nowadays? I used mine to upgrade. Going from PT 7 to PT 2019.6 for $200 bucks with no iLok dongle seemed like a no brainer to me. Internet-based use is a minor issue for me.

I've got a legit PT 10 Vanilla license. Would like an Ultimate 2019, but there's no cheap upgrade plan for that. Also don't have the business anymore that'd justify the cost of a new subscription. So I could sell my PT 10 license, but there's added costs, Paypal fee and hassle to put it on someone else's name..

Yeah, Ultimate is a whole different monster. They know that version targets commercial studios mostly and they squeeze them dry, but the upgrade offer is also for Ultimate upgrades, $400 off. The problem is you need a legit HD license for it.
