Lovely thing! We had one at university where I studied music production, songwriting, sound engineering, etc. Good times!

Had the change to buy one befor all the overated prices of vintage machines.
Shop where i bought a lot of stuff in the past had one quite affordable about maybe 15.. 16 years ago..
Walked out with a Nordlead 1.
If you only could look in to the future.
Played with the CS and remember that i thought.. dont need an organ......

That some serious speed gurning going on, I bet his jaw aches. Those pupils though, can't hide that from the camera flashes

You're right but the pupils are the least of it. The eyes "amplitude" alone
Damn, I have similar photos of myself, not on speed though. Not so wasted in general but yeah, the jaw next day.. ahem :hahaha:

I could only afford the CS-60 when it first came out, and even then by selling my Blue Meanie ARP 2600.
The 2600 kept going out of tune, anyway.
No poly aftertouch, but the ribbon :)
Always dreamed of getting a CS-80.
    Maybe Behringer will come through?

Vangelis played the CS-80 on a shtload of records. Amazing synth, i only played it once and loved every minute of it. I had a CS-10 for many years and it's a lovely monosynth.

  19. Before the CS-80 there was the YC-45D. I think D was for dog. It sounded awful without a Leslie. Anyway the 80 looked similar and I dismissed it at the time as another attempt by Yamaha to make the greatest portable organ on earth. I was wrong.

That looks kind of a transition from the 80s giant Hammond Organs to the 90s synths.
I had one of those Hammond when I was a little kid. Upright piano dimensions, two keyboards and almost a hundred of switches.
