Hey guys

I recently learned about a vst called The Mangle. It seemed rather similar to Portal, which I love. But I went looking for The Mangle only to learn that it's no longer available. That is a huge shame.
So i started thinking, well when it comes to the Internet, nothing is ever gone forever. However, so far I can only find references to it on torrent sites.
I was just wondering if anyone else had any leads? Apparently the developer of the software doesn't respond to emails.

 

Have you checked the usual suspects? I'm 102% sure (with a 2% margin of error) that it's available at least on sister site.

 

Granulab (freeware) and Quanta (not-freeware) are pretty close in methods and style

Hey, I downloaded the demo version link you uploaded and it didnt seem to work with my new Mac. It downloads and opens within Ableton but every time I try and put some audio in to it, it just bugs out and my Ableton session freezes. I have a new M1 MacBook Pro machine, do you think this could have something to do with it? Or potentially because its a demo version?
Im love this plug in, I get so inspired when using it.

 

Try Ribs. It is almost the same as Mangle, and it is donationware:

The famous Crystal (legendary freeware VST synth) is also a granular synth among other embedded synthesis types.

You also have Emergence (freeware or donationware, as you want)

 

Ribs is very nice , and you can also try kenaxis appears on sister site

 

Fruity Granulizer is the only granular synth i ever touched. Granular synthesis can produce very unique textures and stuff, but for me it just takes too much effort to make something decent. And the sounds it produces, they are very very context specific, they may not sound good at all, but with something else going on they just might enhance the sound.
