You seek a place... your soul to rest
A shelter for your weary head
Look and you will find my dear...
    Away from all of them...
    Welcome my friend... welcome!

To The magic realm ... :)

I think it needs more width. Good work.

    Thanks @Karlsplatz

@Mat O ... Thank you... How would you advise i achieve more width? Almost the entirety of the frequency spectrum is in the lomids...

I did use stereo widening on the hi mids and highs... But its still got a very narrow image...

    Thanks

.check if u have panned your instruments properly
.try using a multiband imager (izotope} on the master just before the limiter
    .try using haas delay only on certain elements to increase the width.(Insert a sample delay plugin on a tracks and put a 10 to 30 ms delay on ether the left or the right channel.}
. try using room algorithms on certain elements.(of all the reverb algos i have used only melda mturboverb (room algo)gives some sense of real space)
.And finally since it is the magic realm, try panning automation and eq sweep automation
.More over it would be nice to keep in check the resonance of your intro instrument using a dynamic eq.

Hey i noticed the the image of the track is slightly shifted to the right or is it because of the absence of high mids on the left? please check.

I came to the tree. "What wizardry is this?" i thought to myself as i listened. Quite slowly at first, then building in intensity, little droplets of mystical magic began to fall upon me. I knew then this was no ordinary realm. It had the power to enchant and delight. The mystic music tree was speaking. I listened intently. I was entranced...my journey into the sonic realm of musical composition had begun !

@Kinghtsurfer a composer after my own heart.....a storyteller. :like:

I like how much of a pulse it has even without any strong drumtrack. Less ethereal in a dreamy, washed out sort of sense, but rather in feels like you enter this magical forest and the lights are varying in luminescence. I can't comment on width as I'm just listening on a portable speaker at 5 am, but those seem like some solid tips. I agree that for the headphone listener and given the numerous different sounds presented having some pop up in different pockets and shift places could be a cool experience. I wonder if that image is from something in particular?

@Beth ... thank you so much dear friend! Your words mean a lot to me! Much appreciate the kindness! :)

@MauricePophens ... thanks very much... the image is just something I found by typing "magic realm" into google... :)

@reliefsan ... thanks a ton! But we both know, the real magic is in your walk... :bleh:

@louislouis ... thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!

@Mat O ... you are absolutely right.... I heard it on headphones and its tilted to the right... thats not good at all... most instruments in there are mallets or keyboards... and the higher notes are naturally panned right... Will have to figure out how to correct this problem... thanks again for pointing it out!

    Cheers All!

This could possibly be the reason why it sounds a bit boomy, pretty noticeable at the beginning.

I can't recommend Haas, causes phase issues.

Resonances of any instrument can be tamed with a static eq, that's characteristic for resonances.

That's easy, narrow the stereo spread in the mixer and/or switch the pan.

If you only use a few instruments, where should an extrem stereo spread come from? Imagine you have only a singer and an acoustic guitar. That's pretty mono. You can use a stereo reverb and/or a stereo delay and a bit of the stereo expansion you already used, but I would be careful with anything else.

Last not least at all, nice tune, I like it.

@superliquidsunshine ... Lovely lines... Thank you!

@Recoil ... Thank you... Glad you like it!

@No Avenger ... Thanks very much for the pointers... The stereo field is something I am yet to come to grips with... I will try to eq out the boominess... Glad you like the tune!

    Cheers! :)

Just try to move the guitar to the left field and all will be perfect. Then make another little gem.

Just try to move the guitar to the left field and it will be perfect. Then go and make a new little gem. I donĀ“t know why this appeared twice neither how to delete it.
