Hey guys, i would like to install NI Battery again, but some users said they had problems in some versions (NI's buggy version etc). Which is the latest and fully working one, no pita release?

Battery 4 is buggy indeed. It's sluggish, and sometimes you have to delete some .db file to make it work faster. It looks nicer than 3 IMO, and it has some nice new features, but they haven't updated it in years, as far as I know.

That's why I'm still using good old Battery 3.2.3 for ITB drums, or simply ReaSamplomatic5000 in Reaper. B3 is stable and really easy to work with. I don't need any additional FX from 4, especially not NI ones...

However, Akai S3200 sounds really good for drums and I'm so used to it. E4 is not a slouch, either.

 

when was teh last update of battery ? decades ago ? is it even active developed ?

 

4.1.6.27 is working fine. Has been for the last 3 years or so.

Well, for me exactly 4.1.6 has the sluggish problem, and sometimes it gets really sluggish, then you have to delete that .db file in user/appdata/Native Instruments/Battery 4 folder. Otherwise it's alright to work with. Not that I've encountered any crashes caused by it. But 3.2.3 feels all-round snappier to work with and there are no problems of any kind with it.

I wish they updated Battery 4 just a little more, at least to address that .db file bug. I really prefer its user interface to B3. It looks great and it's easier to work with.

No problem here either. Perhaps you can try a clean install with the latest Factory Library iso? Cheers mate

 

Works good for me. "In Kit Preview" was taken out with current update, which kinda sucks.

No vro, the MH stands for Moombahton and House. The SC is for the side chaining they added to it. This version comes with 5000mAh of samples. Divided in 20 kits specially geared towards Moombahton and House music. With the touch of one finger you can create a whole track. The side chaining is a collaboration with Sonic Academy.
