from what I remember it got mixed reviews back when it got released. I dl once but never got to testing it more throughly though. so the difference between this and the original packages is better labeling, anything else?

This pack has been circulating around the net for a while now I think.

 

Hello - original provider of the files here; I can answer questions about it; there isn't much outside of my original post to say I'm afraid but am happy to reply with anything I know.

I have edited the reddit post to comply with the new community guidelines but I suppose ~10k downloads is sufficient to allow it to be out there.

 

Since i read about the message about the Roland drum machines from that list on the site there's another huge collection for purchase that includes a ton of Roland drum machines that are missing here, very professional recordings, 45.250 audio samples, 4.49 GB in size, 44/24 wave files, price is $40, if you're lucky you can find it on some other places on the internet

I downloaded the package before .Mine has all the roland stuff that was deleted I can upload it tommorow if I get enough people interested in it?Or the whole pack if need be my folder is 6.25 gb unzipped.Theres 66 different roland machines in the respective folder and 52 different company folders

I checked the actual collection against what is available on the sister site and it seems a lot of drum machines are missing. My guess is that what is available on Sis site is an older version of the collection, since more and more get added periodically.

 

Trust me, my upload speed is really bad but the whole package is on sister site, didn't check if links are still active btw

 

Search online on other sites and you'll find the whole package.

If you donate to the guy running the KB6 site (even something like $1 or $5 is OK I think) you get the "full" collection mentioned on the site. So I did.

And...I gotta say - yes, there's lots of stuff, but it's all over the place. This is my experience regarding the legit full set.

1) You receive multiple links for various "updates" of the collection etc., all of which are password-protected and single download only. Really confusing and a real hassle. Just do one master set of the collection! There is also overlap between the various ZIPs, I had to manually do a master set of my own.

2) There are a ton of samples which were a "donation" to him, and he knows nothing about them.

3) A lot of the machines are not updated, so they're the same ones you've seen in this pack since the 2000's

4) Roland machines for the most part are gone, although there are some in the "hidden sets" you get if you make the donation

5) Samples are still in some cases nameless and uncategorized (eg. sample1.wav, sample2.wav and not like BD_ElectroKick.wav etc.). This is super lame; if you're asking for money, just make an effort and do some house cleaning!

6) Some machines only include one or two kits, and not everything - like with the Yamaha RS7000.

7) Recordings of the samples are all over the place - some are super normalized (LOUD or distorted), some really quiet. This could also have something to do with the donated kits, since they're not his recordings.
