Was fortunate enough to have worked with The Kinks many years ago. Great band and great guys!
hahah me too! I didn’t actually realise until a few years ago that it wasn’t. strange that we both thought that.
I don’t really know why I thought it was, Maybe just because it is that good. And maybe the name of the album sounds like something a best-of might be called.
Their early hit songs were amongst my favorites but only on record and CD, Dave couldn't play the solos and that was terrible and disappointing live. Jimmy Page did the solos for the sessions in the studio. If cover bands could play them exactly why the hell couldn't he learn them.

Interesting. Well, and Jimi Hendrix played on some stuff too, anonymously. For a number of acts too.
I know the Hendriksen brothers; Andy was recording them at Pye.
