    Hey guys,

I enjoy making pop music (ballads/mid-tempo) and was wondering what you guys thought/ can guess what the future of pop music will be?

Im getting bored of this edm/pop (david guetta/shf) uptempo stuff and im sure many others are also.

Do you think more ballads will come through in the near future? is this something i should consider continuing creating?

Would love to hear you thoughts.

Maybe, I see this music like weak fake copy of '90s, just awful EDM and worst than ever pop and hip hop or whatever it is. :dunno:

First I hated why everyone sounds the same, now it's blessing, anything different is just different, play on people "enough with this shit" card and maybe it will come *yes*

Make music you love, if you want to make money, than join the dark side, balance there

You're taking the problem (if you consider there's a problem) the very wrong way.
If you don't like EDM, don't do it.

    hello, Firstandlast,

it is very unhealthy to think, to create, to work, with such considerations in one's mind, about the musical genre(s) one works with... *no*

do what you are able to do, what you like most, but do never think about the future of the music classification you are working with... *no*

do something new, if such some problem brakes your imagination, if what you do is strong enough, it will come through, it will excel, in whatever circumstances, work fearlessly, it heals even smaller traumas too (so i have heard, at least)... *yes*

"when was the last time you did something the first time?"

keep up the good work, all the best...

The Future is in the 80's big love ballads, always has, always will.

Personally never gotten too deep to pop and guess it's too late to start now.
You know, thousand flies will follow the lead, but the very best is usually found within the rest.
