The free Windows tool USBDeview lists all currently connected and previously used USB devices and displays detailed information about them.

The displayed details include the device name and description, device type, serial number, time of first connection, and the manufacturer and product IDs (VendorID and ProductID). If the usb.ids file is placed in the same directory as USBDeview, the tool now also displays the manufacturer names and product names associated with the VendorID and ProductID.

Uninstall, disconnect, and disable USB devices

USBDeview allows you to uninstall previously used USB devices, disconnect currently connected devices, and disable and re-enable devices. According to the developer, it is also possible to run the tool on a remote computer if needed, provided you log in with an administrator account.
