1 antares - (no longer made) (i think it crashes ableton sometimes so i'm easing off it)
2 CamelPhat = great :break: (also has some other FX in there)
3 sugar bytes wow - is fun to use (vowels and follower - very funky)see videos
4 tone 2 bi filter for 'COMB 2 preset' for DNB (sweep it through a reese bass to get the bad company sound)

i did try the fabfilter and it does sound good

5 eq three in ableton to roll off bass on things with the kill

Love the Ableton Auto Filter and the Fabfilter Volcano and the Fabfilter ProQ too.

I tend to use filters a lot when mixing to sit the elements in my desired frequency range, the proQ is great for this as it combines a spectrum analyzer and EQ.

I use WOW alot, and the ableton auto filter. Was turned off of the Fab Filter stuff by the GUIs. I guess I need to dig a lil deeper in to them, according to the general census around here. Just recently Ive been using Absynth as an multi effect unit with filters and delays. Might be my new goto for this type of sound mangling.

It depends... I use live's autofilter for cutting off. When it comes to use it as a FX I use fabfilter most the times, also use autofilter for this too, and sometimes an EQ with automotion (kinda weird that), but works...

I only got it a few weeks back, but it's really good for envelope following on bass, and the overdrive is usable too. :)
