Completely non profound...not inspiring at all... not mysterious... but absolutely insanely funny!

 

I forgot about Legion. Not the movie about angels. The series about Professor X's kid.
You know how sometimes the trailer is more interesting than the actual film/show..?
This show is like the music video for an album. On acid.
And so much better than it's trailers.

I wouldn't call this the greatest movie ever but certainty an entertaining art piece of a movie.

 

Loved this, not for the weak of heart though

edit: I guess I should clarify, its not that I enjoyed seeing churches burning or neo nadsi's and such but the sheer energy of young aspiring musicians played out by crabs in a pot trying to one-up each other, combined with teen angst that tries to really buy into the hype of the media they consume is really relevant no matter the genre. Young Culkin was a trip too. It's enjoyable for the characterizations and the unpredictable storyline also.

Just watched this again, and it's a much better movie than I remembered. London in the 1960's, and the rivalry between the mods and the rockers. Based on The Who's Quadrophenia classic album from 1973, the movie came out in 1979. Captures the era very well, and the riot at Brighton Beach was amazing the way they filmed it. Good music from the 60's too, as well as from the album.
