The 90's WERE the BEST era for dance music because of all of the different styles that were not only filling the nightclub dance floors but storming the charts.

I have worn quite a few professional hats in the UK music industry during my career with major labels, freelance A&R, Club Promotions, In-House label producer and remixer, freelance remixer (I have 89 commercially remix credits - either on vinyl or CD - normally on both, and the last time I checked my productions were on 118 CD Albums)

One of my remix productions is included in my list of videos below but can you guess which one it is?
Plus three of the below were signed to labels by me and went on to be huge hits.

Starting in 1978 I was a full time club DJ doing 5 hour sets, 5 nights a week, working for the UK's largest nightclub owning chains. Back then the clubs would normally hold 800 - 3000 customers, million pound lighting rigs and they WERE RAMMED every night - I only retired fron DJing 5 years ago.

The 90's were so good for dance music that I could post 100's of songs here but the ones here broadly represent the songs and style of music I would play in my sets.

I know that to many of you these may seem cheesy now BUT..... at the time they were all MASSIVE and each one would fill the dance floor or have people dancing on podiums and tables.

This was a time where DJ's only used vinyl and long smooth running mixes was what the customers wanted, cvut the song short and you soon got plenty of complaints. This was a time when EVERYONE went clubbing, it was the weekly ritual of getting home from work at 5pm, grabbing some food and getting glammed up, girls in little black dresses and guys in nice suites and ties (no t-shirts, no trainers, no leisure wear allowed), everyone was there to drink, dance and pull and at the center of it all, the guy who made it all happen night after night was the resident DJ - Believe me, fuck did it happen, and I mean LARGE.
The 90's were truly an amazing time to be a club DJ.
