There is an online tone generator on this site where you can sweep through the frequencies from 1 Hz to 20,154 Hz. I doubt you'll be able to hear the 1 Hz since you'll need a speaker to go that low.

It's good for testing out your hearing range or the range of your headphones or monitors.
Of course this test will be limited by the range of your headphone or speakers.

So try it out and post what's the lowest and highest frequencies you could hear.
Just a word of warning, DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK SO WATCH YOUR VOLUME!!!

On my ATH-M50X headphones which has a response of 15 - 28,000Hz, my hearing range was 24Hz to 12,224 Hz.

    ~36-16700 Hz on old speakers.
    ~92-14380 HZ on phone.

Awesome site, lots of sweeps but I haven't seen any that can hold a steady tone. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Samson headphones within with my hearing:

    SR850
    16-13817 (Hz)

    SR950
    17-13714 (Hz)

I must say that I had to increase volume to hear low frequency, so MAYBE I got the saturation click.
This is just the range, not freq. response, the two headphones are quite different.

Rather something for people over 50 years:

If you want to know exactly how your hearing is, go to an ear specialist who will perform a hearing
test with you and can then tell you exactly which frequencies you can no longer hear.

In my case, some high frequencies are gone, they don't come back and you should wear a hearing aid, which
can then compensate for the missing frequencies, so that you can hear rustling leaves, S and ß sounds again.

With some VSTi's I turn down the EQ in the high range by 2-3 decibels.

For example a constant tone at 440Hz or any frequency until you stop it. That's what that website does.

That's pretty impressive if you can hear as low as 16Hz.

About 12 Hz with left and right divots as I head downward.

Where once I heard the butterfly
Those wings they fluttered for me
Now days go by like catipills
    Slow-ly the din receeding
    Don't ask me how
    The high end sounds
    I really couldn't tell you
I use instead Fab ProQ now
So just can really show you

Ok, I just checked this site, didn't know that all the other just do sweep.
Actually around 20Hz at high volume it was quite scaring I thought headphones could break.

Of course, that was just a coarse test.
At the very moment I don't feel the urge to test hearing cause I can still get distant sounds or very weak ones, (I live in a very quiet place).

    20 - 12660 Hz through my speakers. I didn't try headphones.

I'm 66 and I definitely don't have the definition that I used to when I was younger.

Using this, using my Audio Technica ATH-M50X, I could start to hear the rumbles at about 11 or 12Hz and could hear everything up to about 19.5kHz, making it a range of 11Hz to 19.5kHz, using headphones on as Asus ROG laptop, which I'm more than happy with, considering my 41 year old ears that have been subjected to years of music being played way too loudly!

My hearing is knackered, I've had high-pitched tinnitus for many years and I was doing ok ignoring it but over the past several months I've also developed a much louder mid range buzzing that sounds like a transformer. I actually hunted around the house for bad wiring but then I turned the electricity off completely and it was still there.

Maybe it would be better if I was completely deaf, at least I wouldn't be able to hear my own music.

I have such a CD with psychological noise, which I copied on the MP3 player and then late at night listened to the noise.
I gave it up at some point and live with it. It is important that you do not get into it.
Mostly the thinking overlays the noise. It is best to ignore and distract yourself.

At confortable low-ish volume levels I can hear 26Hz to 16.6Khz with no effort, 20Hz-17Khz if i really squint my ears.

Really cool tool, i'll use it to harmonize with my tinnitus.

    36 on old speaker?
    Well, sadly, not entirly possible.
I mean you might hear, a slight Low Frequency at a very reduced SPL.
What possible is, you are heating Harmonics or you are hearing that 36Hz at very very low SPL.

Here is a subjective and objective judgement.
There are cases, where you're actually hearing Harmonics.
No matter what, you can't "Hear" anything below 20Hz.
    You feel it.
Around 18-20 Hz there's a Resonance frequency for Eyeball. So if you can hear or feel 18-20Hz region without your vision going bonkers, then it is pretty much clear that you are hearing something else.
American Airforce states the frequency to be around 19Hz based on their samplings.
Similarly in the 5-15 Hz region there's this hypothetical BROWN Note.
Brown note is the resonance frequency of your Bowel and hearing it properly, is claimed to make you poop without your consent.
Now this has not been proved.
What has been proved is good amount of SPL in that area causes Physical problems, Anxiety, momentary breathing issues etc.
So if you claim to hear the sound without these side effects, then clearly you are hearing something else, which is the harmonics.
You can't hear anything below 20Hz.
Also remember, even very low Distortions at 20Hz or below has huge impact because of the Robinson-Dadson curve (Latest modified version of Fletcher-Munson curve).

I have an extraordinary system that is extremely flat down to 17Hz and the -3dB Point is 15Hz (Plus the room is bone dry even at lower frequencies as the 20Hz decays by about 22dB in 180ms and 40dB in 300ms). I thought I can hear 15Hz. But No sir.
What I heat is the Harmonics of 15Hz which is even less than 1%.
I can feel some physical discomfort (beyond my perception because I have never felt anything like that before and I can't explain what it feels like) when playing anything from 15Hz -20Hz area though.
I can see the driver move from 5Hz and that is extremely extremely pleasing.
My main monitors, SM300 from Sonodyne, doesn't even move below 20Hz or atleast the movement is not clear to open naked eyes.
But the subs move very pleasingly from 5Hz and the excursion increases gradually till 15Hz and then it is a nice good excursion from 15-50 and then I can't see it.
I play always around 83 dBSPL-C mark because I LOVE MY EARS.

I can hear 28Hz-11,5KHz quite well on monitors. Not too bad at age 66 with tinnitus, had it for nearly 20 years now.
The monitors vibrated well down to 15Hz, below that it rolled off fast.
