Old processor was : Two Intel Xeon Quad-Core série 5500 at 2,26 GHz.

Yes the fan are very clean on the cooler.

You're probably right about this :"..you've increased watts by 30% without increasing cooling..."

So I have to increase cooling by 30% ,right ?

    Thanks !

On MacPro it's not possible to change for a new cooling .

The only thing possible it's to increase fan speed but of how much ?

    Hmmm. That's a problem. :D

Get an external fan and turn it to max - point it right at the cpu/fan/heat sink. Put it outside in the snow? I dunno.......

Those are $1000 chips? That are likely gonna fry if you keep using them as 80C+

Why can't you change the cooler? Surely it's possible?

Wow. Better to burn out the fan than the cpu? :D

So, I Have with Fan at speed Max CPU A at 52 °C and CPU B at 48 °C with heavy use when I had before CPU A at 87°C and CPU B at 65 °C .,
it's much better however too much noisy .

XEON 5680 were sold with MacPro 2010 ,they were not so noisy .

Have I increase Power Supply too (with iStat) ?

    Ear plugs. ;)

I use a 10m HDMI cable and put the PC in a different room altogether. Everyone else seems happy to be sat next to a noisy box. I don't get it.

Bonne Année à tous, Happy new year

I followed your message, and what I can say from experience is that the recommended application of the silver artic is not that which is being used by manufacturers. The artic silver, which as its name uses Silver to allow a good junction between the radiator and the processor. So for the application thinner is the layer more is the dissipation. It is necessary to clean the old paste with alcohol or acetone. Put a silicone glove, place a little paste directly on the processor and with the index cover the whole of it, without going beyond the surface in contact with the radiator and in making a surplus. A thin and uniform layer.

For noise, solution is to find a quality fans replacement of those used, this saves valuable decibels. The radiator, I do not think you can find something that fits the MAC contrary to everything you can find for a PC...
