I've been into tech house for quite a while but when it comes to making these deep bases i just fail all the time, all i'm after is some fresh ideas to try and point my in the right direction.
Like everyone else I have the usual soft synths massive, FM8, I also have a virus TI so I know i have more than enough tools to reach these sounds but i just fail. I tried volume envelopes on sines at octave higher so they quickly appear and decay and i've tried saturation but i feel it makes it to distorted I just need a fresh take so I know where to go.

My examples of what I'm after:

Hot Since 82 Like You John Jogurt Remix Bass appears at 0.48 and fully with drums at 1.03

I'm not trying to fully replicate there bass sounds i just want to get that timbre so i can put my own spin on it. I also know its a lot to do with how the kick interplays with the bass but i'm just stuck and I need help.

It's simple to re-do that, but you must try to make something original if you want to succeed, it's better to create your own style, and that comes by experience.
So, you want the Bass Preset of that part?

 

This is as close as i can get to that frist bass sound with Sylenth1
you can mess around with it your self and see what elace it needs.
just think of it as a start ,
the other bass sound at 4 min is made with audiorealsim plugins abl2
and there is a good chance the frist bass was made with abl pro,and not Sylenth1
so try them plugins if you have them,
i only heard the other bass now and them two plugin came to mind.
i should of played the track out the frist time
