So I thought I'd post this publicly. I got a PM from a noob (I say that with love) asking if this youtube channel was really from Team VR. It seems highly unlikely. Comments are off in all the videos. They have the sister site url in the channel banner. There's a link to "Team V.R's website". I could be tripping but none of the teams have actual websites right? I thought I'd post this here on the off chance it saves someone from bricking their comp, or if Team V.R is unaware and wants to take action or something.

A new user was spamming those youtube links in threads yesterday & pm me that too but I didn't touch it because it was random & from a new user. Never found out what it was about.

The real question is that release legit and from Team V.R since there is nothing about it on official web site ?
I have taken look inside installer and there is a lot of random files from earlier Team V.R releases, without explanation LOG for the "Fake eLicenser" like in earlier releases .

It is packed in a strange way, not like V.R packs it's own installers.

It contains "Trojan Generic" reported from KTS, even if is false positive which may be, but the source is untrusted.
My advice for newbies is not to install this until comes legit release on sister site signed by V.R.

Let's make it clear. I can confirm the site is VR's site.
I cant confirm about YT channel, which probably wont last long anyway.

You dont even have to know how old the site is if would have checked its deposid oneclick hoster , noon is selling warez there .
Just check facts befor letting your imagination run free .

Probably VR got so pissed that they actually made those videos to spread awareness, even if they knew the channel wouldn't last for long. But it can also just be a fan of VRs work that he just made those vids. And for that ManGo guy, we can just report the channel until youtube takes it down (since he is showing how to use pirated material).

But the thing is why did the guy spam our inboxes with the same message? its like he wanted attention to that youtube video/channel and he was a new one here.

I just have tried on my VM so inexperienced users don't have.

Installer is not packed by Team VR, and it says it is ManGO while installing.
It is fake as hell! So I suppose and YT channel is fake.

Lame repacked installer, which launches POWERSHELL, not in silent mode like VR installer does.
After install It asks for restarting my machine, while V.R release never does, at least not on a brand new machine !

This is badly repacked version of "Fake elicenser b17 " and do not download it, and definitely contains a virus.
Kaspersky never reported VR release like virus, but this thing was!
I was thinking it was a false positive but I guess it is not !

@Olymoon for our wellbeing delete this thread or at least delete YT channel link !

in both situations (the vr channel being vr himself or being a fan), the spammed channel seems more legit than the mango one
