What would be suitable DAW for a kid, that's the question?

 

Everybody learns differently. It would depend on the child. I think choice of interface might be more impactful though.

 

Sure, having said that, what would you consider than?

It's legit question, even worth opening new thread I guess, would you give him full blown DAW version or something like GarageBand, maybe Music Creator or Music Maker and etc

 

infact my son in 7th month now already bangs out my Venom keyboard every day ...he really likes trance music like me and just hope one day to teach him what i know to see him a great producer over the years ...

 

to bad that I've already sold my child for equipment...

 

I thought being a musician is all about doing drugs

 

I got my younger kids into modular synths. I also teach them how to sell drugs, so we can buy more modulars.

@xsze, I haven't used any of that software, but yes, a simple work flow with immediate results would probably be best. My girl actually is a fine young musician, plays violin, bangs on our funky-ass ancient piano and strums away on an open tuned guitar that is permanently parked in the living room and writes unique and accessible chord progressions on it but just has no interest whatsoever in learning how to engineer. Maybe one day, maybe one day.
