Overview




Gate:


The (noise) gate suppresses noise or any other signal below a certain level.


Filter:


CS-3301 comes with 7 independent filter shaping the sound accurately.


Compressor:


The compressor controls the dynamics of the signal.


VU Meter:


The VU meter monitors level of input/output signal and gain reduction of the compressor.

So, they've been working on developing nicer GUIs. This is good for them, because their stuff sounds great, but their presentation lacked professionalism until now. I hope they expand these UI improvements to their other products.

 

they make not bad products at all, but not perfect....
IMHO it's just an excellent start to proceed further...

 

The key for CS-3301 costs €49 (+ VAT). Nice GUI. How @One Reason will evaluate it?

 

Ive no dought in my mind this is gonna be a nice addition to anybodys setup....Personally i feel These guys code some Real nice sounding plugins.....Maybe a tad underated ..But personally i cant wait........Gonna run the demo cheers.....

 

Did anyone try it?

I've been playing around with it this morning and I think it sounds very very good. Way better than some big names out there.

The EQ is very musical and versatile. It's really smooth and surprisingly natural. It's great for neutralizing nasty resonances without actually changing the character of the source material.

The saturation is very classy. Nothing exaggerated. It adds just enough mojo to bring up a very pleasing fullness to the low-mids. It doesn't sound like it's broken, like most emulations out there. It sounds real.

The compressor is standard, though. However, it's worth buying it just for the EQ and saturation; Both sound great, most specially when oversampling is turned on (for quality results with saturation, oversampling is a must).

Give it a try, guys.

I'm with you RMorgan, it just sounds great ! For this price, I don't know a better channel strip.
The EQ is really good and musical, the gate is versatile... and it's just wonderful on guitar tracks ;)
