Hey guys, i feel bad asking question like this but i just cant come across presets for spire, serum or ana that sound like blade runner last track. Im looking for those aggressive leads/drones that go crazy on pitch bend

For the modern stuff, Absynth or Massive could also be in the ballpark..

But for the classic OG Blade Runner sound nothin can beat Yamaha CS-80,
like the Arturia CS-80V, which looks/sounds good enough to my non-expert ears..


But all in all, I say just Experiment,
I'm sure Serum or Spire, or almost any Synth worth its name will have similar presets to get you started.

You have good taste! Blade runner is a movie soundtrack with the best sounds ever created! And available for download now is........Absynth 5!! it is loaded with sounds from this movie. As a matter of fact.......Absynth was used during the creation of this awesome movie!

You can get aggressive sounding leads with most synths. If you're looking for individual presets that include all the pitch and filter automations each track in the song does - that's going to be hard to find. Omnisphere's GaiKaiju is probably the best one I can think of.

To properly capture the feel of the original Blade Runner synths there are 3 needs.
First a CS-80 synth, second the huge lush verbs, and third tape saturation.

Lucky for us there is a Kontakt library that nailed it.

I bought the library last year, it is amazing sounding, trust your ears and don't settle for the half ass options.

Soundbank - Schiffbauer Kujashi 1-2-3

Synth1 bank creator Kujashi (kvr user Schiffbauer) is a big Vangelis fan, 1/3 of his sounds are Vangelis inspired and 1/10 even have "Vangelis" in their name. You might find a similar harp in one of his 4 excellent banks.

OG Blade Runner, sure, CS80 is the most viable option. But topic starter talks about 2049, so it's a Zimmer territory - and it's pretty much MOOGS. Arturia's Modular iirc is an option.


P.S. Come to think of it, Zimmer's score was forgettable compared to Vangelis' work lol.
